A consistent message that I hear from people when I first meet them is that they are afraid of me. They worry that I will invade their privacy by reading their minds and hearing their thoughts. They ask if I will know when they will pass, or if I will tell them about the bad experiences that are coming ahead. It is a perception that is held by many. There is a belief, that as a psychic medium, I will not respect your boundaries or privacy. No wonder people are afraid! That could not be further from the truth.
I work to strike a delicate balance; of vulnerability, truth, compassion and empathy with my clients. Without reserve I strive to provide a safe environment where you can be open about your feelings. The most difficult challenge in our lives is to gain the ability to be completely and objectively honest with ourselves about our thoughts and feelings. Repeatedly, I find that those in spirit provide messages of love, support and they urge us to become vulnerable. This is nothing to be afraid of... to know that we are loved, and supported and not alone should invoke a feeling of well-being and warmth. When you remove the fear, you can experience joy and happiness. When you learn to care for yourself, you will learn to empathize with others, instead of sympathizing. To sympathize with someone stops us from objectively listening and observing. When people say “I feel sorry for that person” oftentimes, this means that they are grateful not to be in their predicament. Place yourself in their perspective and allow them to have their experience. Perhaps they are dramatic, are in distress or angry. What does that say about them? They, like you, are growing. They are striving for a better understanding of themselves. Show them compassion. Show them love. In return, the vibration of offering your support comes back to you in ways that you can’t comprehend. In our society we feel obligated to give a solution rather than listen to a person, without judgement, or interruption, which stems from fear. The greatest gift to give someone is to validate them. Learning to listen is difficult. The next time you have a conversation with someone focus on what they are saying. There is something fascinating about this practice because you will start to notice that you are forming a response long before you respond. Let that thought pass through your mind and refocus on the person in front of you. People are not used to being heard. It’s not your job to form opinions, to supply a solution or to calm them down. Feelings are powerful. They motivate us, they can debilitate us and they are always somewhere close by within our awareness. Ask yourself what it is that keeps you up at night. Is it that you’re scared that you can’t pay your bills that have been piling up for months? A solution is on the way. Maybe you need to sell your home and move somewhere more manageable. There is an answer that I can provide you. Whether or not you see me for a reading, the solution will arrive exactly on time. It may not be what you wanted to experience or hear. It could be painful. It could be something amazing. Trust that it will show up. Being afraid of the unknown wastes your time. Share the love my friends. It’s nothing to be afraid of. It’s to be embraced and shared.
