Embracing our Intuition
With the people that follow me, you’ll know that it has taken a lot of time, patience and courage to build my trust, understanding and clarity in my skills. I would say that I was and still am at times, naive. My friends would vehemently disagree with the naivety, however, I find myself questioning my experiences to this day.
It’s not that I don’t believe. I am hook, line and sinker a believer; spirit has presented everything to me. I cannot deny my journey, I embrace it. I work on it daily. As human beings we are affected on a variety of levels. We have families, partners, siblings, extended family, co-workers, peers, and friends to deal with. Our lives are not put on hold to journey into our consciousness. Mortgages are due, family becomes ill, vacations are taken to far off places, babies are born, we move to new places, change our jobs; our focus is constantly changing. Through all of these experiences our Spirit, the one inside of us, we call it our soul, is always observing us. I believe that is has a higher intelligence, guiding us, nudging us to experience and grow.
Where do we find time to become spiritual you ask? Now. There isn’t a better time than the present. Our intuition is not a phenomenon or supernatural. It is a natural skill within all of us. I am commonly asked, “When did you know you had this skill?” I perceived Spirit from my earliest memories, vividly; I can recall them from the age of 5. What happens to our intuition as we age? We are invalidated by our peers, friends and family. We are told that it’s our imagination. We are told that it can’t be real because it isn’t tangible. Your Spiritual Path is not tangible. You can’t open a map and show your friends which part you are trekking. It is a part of you, it’s in your dreams, and it’s in your consciousness. Your intuitive perception is unique, everyone experiences theirs differently. Hold on to your visions. The most powerful gift to give yourself is the permission to acknowledge your intuition. The moment you do, you will be off on an adventure that no one could ever prophecy for you. This is your life. This is your journey. Embrace it with zest, fervor and love. The greatest pains, are an opportunity to grow, the greatest love is like no other. Be open to your intuition and disregard the naysayers. It’s our faith in the unknown that compels us to move forward.
