Become the Observer
I am frequently asked the same questions. How did you know that you could do this? How does it happen? What kinds of experiences have you had? It makes me think of everything about my life and how I have come to this place. It has not been easy, yet with tonnes of research and meeting many unique people my life has become fascinating, even comforting. There have been amazing ‘moments’, overwhelming joy mixed with a healthy dose of fear. Like you, I live in a world that is hurried, expensive, time consuming and fast paced. I pay bills, make appointments, run a business and have the added bonus of being interrupted by spirits and psychic information. These hits occur when I’m not working, which can feel like a burden sometimes. I am a strong advocate of creating energetic boundaries. Nocturnal visits are less frequent but sometimes I get a random spirit visitor who wants to give me messages before my client arrives, sleep can be elusive. I work energetically in my career as a registered massage therapist too. When do I get a break? I do my best to keep everything in perspective. I step back and look at my life as an observer. I see how important Self Care has become in my life and I continue to nurture my mind, body and spirit. I often see in my clients that Self Care is put to the side to appease others. I am of service and very grateful that I work in this incredibly sensitive and unique career. Like you, I have discovered over time how to nurture myself.
Here are a few examples;
I go outside to refresh and clear my aura, utilizing the sun’s rays.
I listen to music that moves me, if I want to shift my spirit.
I light a candle to relax and listen to guided meditation.
I watch comedy to have a good laugh and be reminded that life isn’t so serious.
What types of Self Care have you discovered?
