Upon arrival of the house, it seemed normal. It was a large property, with a barn on it and a two story house with several bedrooms. Nothing out of the ordinary. We went to investigate during the daylight hours. The homeowners were away and my friend was house sitting. I had no clue what I was getting myself into.
We entered the house on the main floor. We walked around and I was completely unaware of what was about to happen. As we milled about I approached a door on the main floor and opened it. Inside was a
large storage room. Instantly I felt a heaviness and I started to feel very uncomfortable. An oppressive sense of sadness overwhelmed me. I called out to my friend and she followed behind me. Before I realized it I was on the floor writhing, crying and in emotional distress. My friend helped me to my feet and escorted me out of the room. I had no idea what just happened. I was visibly shaken.
With much trepidation on my part, we continued our investigation of the home. Suddenly, in the hallway near the kitchen I saw a Saint Bernard dog in spirit lying on the floor, content and relaxed. I observed the spirit of a woman walk past me, wearing a dress, with an apron over top and her hair pulled back tightly in a
bun. I thought she looked like a maid and she clearly wasn't from this century. I was shocked and amazed. We continued our tour and ended up in a room on the second floor. My friend was telling me that she was receiving impressions and names of the spirits in the space. I was skeptical of her, she had told many overly embellished stories over the years. As she spoke, the zipper on the front of my jacket started to unzip itself, from my waist to mid chest. We both witnessed this event and froze. I didn't know that spirits could move anything or touch you!! We ran out of the house frantically and didn't return. I was relieved and so excited that I could see spirits now, before I only felt them, and saw shadows. I was beginning to open up, whether
I wanted to or not.
